Kathy Marlene Bailey

Kathy has been passionate and focused on Traditional Oil Painting ever since she learned these Renaissance methods as a very young woman in 1976 at Guelph University, in Ontario.

Kathy has taught “Traditional Glaze Oil Painting - Modern Applications” extensively since about 1994, particularly in the Western GTA, but also as far away as Newfoundland. In 2016, she and several of her former students decided it was time to join together around this common passion. Kathy had served as the president of the CGOS since that time and has been its technical mentor and well as the key Instructor for its learning programs. Kathy loves teaching and passing knowledge of these technical processes, and is incredibly proud to lead this society of important contemporary - exceptionally talented - Canadian Artists.
